donated $50; learned about the organization on June 8, participated in the event - not knowing any of the issues. Was an eye opener to the legislative process. I did not do much, just accompanied the IV members to the meetings - these members were well prepared to present the case as well as to answer questions. I am impressed, and here I am registered and donated.

If he was approved this month, it must have been based on the August Visa bulletin. If so the priority date for EB-2 is not current for this guy (per bulletin it is 01OCT03). Also his 485 application date is eight months away from the current processing date.

My 485 was filed at NSC and the ND is 03 Oct 2007. It was subsequently moved to TSC in Nov 2008.
So which date is it going to be: PD, ND, RD or Move date (MD) ????
As I read the thread above on the perennial point of contention PD or RD or ND.
Since I was contacting my local congressman and Senators...I got this feedback that my case is pre-adjudicated but waiting to have a visa number available....but I don't know who to trust...I am just not very hopeful and if 485 ND is the date they go by I have no chance and will miss this opportunity too.

Lol no I'm relaxed enough...just worked up about the rally. I am attending and did contribute too. Am meeting some others later to put up more flyers. All this did was get me more psyched...no harm done :)

Guys/Gals...
Sorry but do not want to be a damper... But this thread does not give me the right feeling. I have been a member of IV i think from dec 2005 and contributed quite a few hundered dollars and just like this organization as a simplistic, good non-profit orgnization with good intentions....
But in this thread we see a taunt... which is more like we will not have numbers in DC and then some triades...
So far whenever such type of hate comments are posted, I have noticed that the IV core/ Super moderators either close the threads or blacklist the user....
But in this case we see periodically (i think a couple of times) that super moderators are only making comments that we need to prove numbers so join the rally....
Sorry to say this but i feel either this stage managed ( the triades) or super moderators/ IV core are taking advantage of this thread.... Both I feel are inappropriate....
If I am wrong in what i have stated - My apologies to Supermoderators / IV Core.... But If I am right then I think personally it is a sad day since it lowered the image of IV in front of a great admirer.

I think you need to have a copy of your diploma.

Disgusting, Sheriff Joe is monster. Perhaps he came from family with no respect for women.
On the lighter note, if I were a judge, here's what I would do with Sheriff Joe if he was trailed:
1. Perform sex change operation on Sheriff Joe and install a womb.
2. Perform artificial insemination on Sheriff Joe using the seed of big man like Undertaker, Shaq or Khali (so that offspring is a big baby).
3. On term, shackles Sheriff Joe and make him go through the pain of giving birth. In the process don't administer epidural or perform C-Section.
4. Don't repair any damage done to his body parts after delivery.

I was just thinking and then this came up on me . How about sending a poster along with the letter campaign. I can contribute atleast four posters. They do not have to be full size posters ..can be just A4 size pamphlets kinds. We can just print them in color printer and send them along with the letters. These posters may make it to the press also as they will be funny and spicy for news. Actually, we can send copy of our letters to press as well along with our posters. If we make about 10 such posters, we can send one random poster along with the letter.

yes, we are definitely expecting a response and thats why we are stating the timeline.
At minimum, we definitely need to higlight with details as to how USCIS is playing with us.
Nobody can predict whether we will get a response or not. But, we definitely need to satisfy ourselves that we fought till the last.
2 or 3 years back, nobody expected IV to achieve anything. Look what IV has achieved today. It only happened through relentless protests.
During July fiasco, everybody was resigned to getting their 485 files returned back. The force of IV protest made the reversal.
I am confident that with lots of protests, USCIS will churn out a few approvals in the last week of September. At least, guys who got RFE can expect something. I am not one of them, though, as my file has not been picked up at all. that is a different issue.

It may help if you ask senders to sanitize their story themselves, and report it to you in 3rd person.
Eg:
THIS ONE BELOW IS BETTER:
"X has been victimized by the long wait times of the permanent residency processing system in the US due to a clerical backlog in the immigration agency. X's application, pending since August 2001, ....etc. etc.,"
INSTEAD OF:
"I have been waiting for my GC, labor filed in Aug 2001, in Vermont Service Center., etc."
Signed- X"
That will probably save you some editing and review time. If you require help editing, let me know.
