Reached home and had a letter waiting...
Here is the response from TSC:
According to TSC, it is currently processing 485 visas based on filing date order. There are a large amount of cases that are being processed and your case will be processed in receipt date order. With the limited amount of visas that are currently available between now and September 30, 2009, there is no guarantee that your case can be completed before the end of FY 2009.
For whatever it means, I have seen tons and tons of cases with receipt date/notice date and PD after me that have been approved. Heck, all my dates are current on outside the processing time so I dont know what to make out of it.
All we can do is keep our fingers crossed...... I wish I had received the card instead of the letter today :)

soft Lud on mine and my dependant on 2/10/09 and there was second soft LUD on mine 2/27/09, till now no RFE, what does it mean, does it mean everything is fine and they do not need from our end.

The only housing market which doesn't show any sign of correction is Mumbai, as the builders have more Dubai, 'Bhai' kind of money. Everywhere else properties have already fallen 20-30%. In gurgaon & NOIDA they are down 40% from previous year...

Degree : B.Com ( 3 years)
PG : M.C.A (IGNOU - 3 Years)
Experience - 8 Years in India and 3 years in USA with different employer.

But aren't there sufficient applications received in July-Aug 2007 to use up all the numbers ?!? That's the loophole in your analysis. As per official reports, I believe close to 300k applications were received in those two months for AOS, true ?!?
I think it's just a game played by DHS and don't see any other reason to it. If any, the backlog center cases that were approved in Aug/Sep/Oct of 2007 are the only ones who couldn't apply in last year fiasco. But then since EB2 dates have come to Jun 2004 last month, many of those late approved filers may have already filed for their 485s leaving only those folks whose PDs are between June 2004 and May 2006 ... a guesstimate on this number might be around few hundreds at the most, possible ?!?

I think it should have minimal or no impact on your GC process. Somehow you can get gc. But what is the impact of case in your personal life that is more important. If you have an asset or money those are under risk. But if you have very less savings what they are going to achive by sueing you. Also did you have Insurance? Then they might put you and your Insurance company in lawsuit. Then your Insurance company may fight for you. If they win the case and court ask you to pay 1 million dollars then you can file bankruptsy protection and come out if you have very less money. Fighting is always better option than giving up. But again it is individual's decision. As you have option of going to India. But no such option for Americans

May be US corporations can tactically support this bill because this bill will impact Indian bodyshoppers severly. For past 5 years US companies could not compete with Indian companies as they have more leverage on H1b. Now if Indian companies avoid H1b US companies can get any time they want as they can satisfy most of conditions

i sorted based on application mailed date , all are pending !!
the mailed date was recently added as a column.. till now ppl were using receipt date column as application reached.. wait till fp dates and notice dates get populated...the earliest i have seen is for ppl current in june who have a receipt date of 06/29

akred, Thank you for helping to promote this petition. I think that when we have enough signatures we must also release this letter in parallel to media outlets while we send it to CNN execs. This will make the folks at CNN more answerable to this petition. However in order to do this we require the backing of IV core and utilize their contacts with the media. An individual like you and me can only go so far. Backing of IV core will provide us with maximum traction to evince response from CNN.

Two thumbs up to whoever came up with this idea. I would suggest some of us should apply for jobs in his administration since we already have our EAD. We can submit our resume on the www.change.gov site.:)
